Long Days

We all have been there, praying that the day will magically fast forward to the end. We just keep playing the image of when we can finally say were done with everything we need to do and can finally relax! Today I had practice and weights. I was struggling just through the warm up mile. The hot weather made me sweat like a boy. Being a college athlete student is actually one of the toughest responsibilites I have ever had to face. Each day is a struggle but being a college athlete is more than a difficult burden. It is suprisingly rewarding. This year is round 2 for me and it is off to a very slow start. At the end of a "long day" I feel accomplished which is exactly how I feel at the end of the year. Even though 3 hour practice followed by weights/ conditioning are nothing but an everyday duty, It gives me a feel productive. At the end of each day I know I have a family and I know that I am lucky to be able to do what I do.  People always say college athletes have a better sense of time managment. I am not sure that is true but I hope it is. It is alot of work like I've been saying. I think this hard work will pay off because everybody likes a challenge :)
